Beth Truett, Concordia University Chicago Alumni, embarked on a transformative journey at CUC, completing a graduate certificate in Gerontology. She chose to pursue a Gerontology certificate program to complement her MDiv degree, gain a broader view of the field and prepare for the next phase in her next career. She said, “For someone deeply involved in gerontology for over two decades, the program offered a perfect bridge to build an encore career. The strength of the program lay not only in its courses but also in the practicum, which provided practical experience and helped me identify my place in the gerontology field.” The book “101 Careers in Gerontology” was an invaluable resource during her practicum.
